Christmas Tree Drop-off: The City of Sachse is offering residents a convenient way to recycle natural Christmas trees following the holiday season. Residents may drop off natural Christmas trees through January 10, 2026, at Salmon Park. The drop-off areas are in the parking lot next to the bathrooms. All trees collected will be recycled by Community Waste Disposal. Residents are asked to remove all decorations, tinsel, lights and tree stands prior to drop off. Only natural trees will be accepted. Artificial trees and other holiday materials are not permitted. This recycling effort helps reduce holiday waste sent to the landfill and supports environmentally responsible and disposal practices.
Sewer Averaging: Sewer averaging review will take place starting November 1st through March 31st. Lower water usage means a lower sewer bill all year. Adjustments to the calculated sewer rate can only occur in the event the consumer is granted a water leak adjustment during the winter averaging months. Evaluation of an adjustment to the sewer average rate must be received by Thursday, April 30th, 2026.
Holiday Closure: City offices will be closed on Monday, January 19th in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday. Trash and recycling services will run on the normal schedule for the week. There will be no disruption in services.
Water Restrictions: November 1st through March 31st limits watering to 1 day per week on your normal trash day. Visit www.cityofsachse.com/331/Water-Conservation-Restrictions for more information. It only takes a few short steps to begin receiving automated emails or text messages to know how much water your landscape requires based on local weather conditions. Register at www.watermyyard.org.
